I can't believe it has been two years now since I was in the Philippines.  My heart's desire is to return there and help the precious Filipino children.  Over the past year I have been working with a couple from my church whom as I do, have a passion to reach reach out to to the country of the Philippines to help children have a better life.

     As a child My friend, Luz, attended school in Davao, Mindanao, Philippines.  Over the past few years, she has been working to restore the broken education system in that school by planning a total restoration of that facility which has been burned and stripped by vandals.  

     The first step in the process is to build a 15 foot security fence around the school.  Once the fence has been built, and the area protected, we can begin repairing and painting the portion of the school that has been destroyed by fire.

     The total cost of building the fence is about $8,000 US dollars.  With an additional $2,000, we can hire to security guards to stand post and guard the school.  This is in fact two annual salaries..
